Privacy Policy

Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to Wasatch Technology Exchange Defense Group, LLC ("WTEx Group", "we", "us", or "our"), a Utah-based software company. Our primary website is wtexgroup.com. We also operate cursusiq.com, a career technology platform, and develop iOS applications including SMC (Shoot Move Communicate), a tactical mapping app, and TabulaeIQ, a personal asset management app for tracking vehicles, property, and equipment.

Information we collect

We collect information only when you voluntarily provide it to us. This includes:

• Contact form submissions — your name, email address, and message when you reach out through wtexgroup.com.
• CursusIQ account information — if you create an account on cursusiq.com, we collect the information you provide during registration and use of the platform (such as name, email, resume content, and job application data).
• SMC app usage — when available, the SMC iOS app collects:
  • Precise and coarse location data (required for tactical mapping functionality, collected on an ongoing basis while the app is in use)
  • Account information including email address and assigned user ID (via Supabase authentication)
  • User-generated content including waypoints, routes, and tactical overlays (synced to secure cloud storage)
  • Device identifiers for app functionality
  • Crash logs, performance data, and diagnostic information
• TabulaeIQ app usage — the TabulaeIQ iOS app stores the following information locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework:
  • Asset records you create (vehicles, property, equipment), including names, photos, and any financial details you choose to enter such as purchase price, loan terms, lease information, and payment schedules
  • Fuel, service, and expense entries you log, including dates, amounts, vendor names, and notes
  • Optional location coordinates attached to fuel entries — captured only when you explicitly request location capture for a specific entry. TabulaeIQ does not track your location in the background or at any other time.
  • Reminders and recurring expense schedules you configure

  TabulaeIQ data is stored on your device. If you have iCloud enabled for the app, this data is synced via Apple's CloudKit framework to your personal iCloud account, which is private to you. WTEx Group does not operate any servers that receive, store, or process TabulaeIQ data, and we have no access to your TabulaeIQ records. In-app purchases (such as the one-time unlock for unlimited assets) are processed entirely by Apple's App Store; we receive only aggregated, anonymized sales reports from Apple and do not receive your payment information or Apple ID.

We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that profile your behavior across the web.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to:

• Respond to your contact form inquiries.
• Provide and improve the features of our products (CursusIQ, SMC, TabulaeIQ).
• Send product updates or notifications if you have opted in.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate our products:

• Formspree — processes contact form submissions on wtexgroup.com. Formspree's privacy policy governs data submitted through their service.
• Supabase — provides database and authentication services for the SMC app. Supabase collects account credentials, user-generated content, usage logs, and device identifiers. See Supabase's Privacy Policy at supabase.com/privacy.
• Mapbox — powers the mapping features in the SMC iOS app. Mapbox collects location data, device identifiers, and anonymized usage data. See Mapbox's Privacy Policy at mapbox.com/legal/privacy.
• Vercel — hosts our websites and SMC backend services. Vercel may collect server logs, IP addresses, and request metadata. See Vercel's Privacy Policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Apple — TabulaeIQ relies entirely on Apple's on-device frameworks and services, including SwiftData (local storage), CloudKit / iCloud (optional cross-device sync to your private iCloud account), MapKit and CoreLocation (mapping and location features), and StoreKit (in-app purchase processing). Use of these services is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. CursusIQ account data is retained while your account is active. TabulaeIQ data resides on your device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud account — you control retention and deletion at any time through the app or your iCloud settings. You may request deletion of data we hold by contacting us.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Our products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
